“KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER PROGRAMME” 2012

alhamdulillah...

another budget for us to meove on to give a better or altrenative services for Kelantan community...

1.    Promotion on the importance and awareness of stroke management among stroke patients and their families.

2.    In the first level of knowledge and skills transfer, USM staff and SJAM members have better knowledge and are able to execute the exercises in the home-based training model.

3.    In the second level of knowledge and skills transfer, USM staff and SJAM members educate stroke and balance disordered patients and their families to practice an appropriate cost-effective self-managed stroke and balance disorder rehabilitation within their own homes.

4.    In the third level of knowledge and skills transfer, the family members of stroke and balance disordered patients are able to continuously educate and guide stroke patients to improve their biophysical functioning based on the home-based training module and with the support of SJAM members, and the online stroke support system.

5.    The self-confidence and quality of life among stroke patients are improved. A pre and post survey of psychological distress, quality of life and biophysical functioning will evidence either improvement, improvement, or deterioration.
